1. It is the responsibility of each participant to know all of the Derby rules.
2. Each Derby participant age 16 years or older is responsible for obtaining a current
Oregon fishing license. All Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations apply.
3. All entrants must use a watercraft which is not tethered or shored. NO FISHING
FROM THE BANK IS ALLOWED.
4. All watercraft must comply with Coast Guard standards of equipment and safety.
All Coast Guard rules and regulations Apply.
5. Any person capable of handling a fishing rod and reel accompanying a paying participant is a boat must be registered in the derby.
6. No live bait is allowed. Exception worms and night crawlers are allowed.
7. Weigh in limits 2 fish per day ***NOTE WEIGHT IN MAY INCLUDE ONY 1 TROUT OVER 20” PER DAY***
8. You are not permitted to hold any fish with the intention of releasing it later for a
larger fish. As soon as the fish is caught you must decide to keep it or release it.
9. In the event of a tie the weight of the largest single fish measured and weighed
will determine the winner. If a tie still occurs the length of the single largest fish
measured will determine the winner.
10. All measurements are final once the weigh master accepts measurements.
11. Tournament Officials decisions are final.
12. The Tournament will officially begin at 6:00am.
13. Pre fishing is allowed prior to the day of the tournament, however no fishing is
allowed prior to the 6:00am start time.
14. Weigh in will start at 2:00pm and end at 5:00pm Saturday and 1:00pm till 3:00pm
Sunday at Diamond Lake Lodge. No late arrivals accepted.
15. Fish must be weighed on the day caught.
16. Any fish showing signs of tampering or considered questionable by Derby officials
or employees of Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife will be held for inspection and
discounted from the Derby until Derby officials have determined the fish as
acceptable. Determined to be tampered or augmented will be held for further
inspection by ODFW and the angler will be disqualified from the derby.
17. Professional fishing guides are always welcome to participate. However no
professionally guided trips are allowed at any time during the Derby.
18. Any persons conducting themselves in a disorderly manner at any time will be
expelled from the tournament and can be denied reentry to future tournaments.
19. Absolutely no transferring of fish between boats.
20. Failure to comply with any of the above said rules will result in the entrants
disqualification.
21. This tournament will not be cancelled or rescheduled due to rain. No refunds will
be allowed.
22. Awards ceremony immediately following Sunday’s Weigh in.
23. This Derby is limited to the first 250 anglers. Payouts are based on a sliding scale
established by the number of participants.
24. All proceeds from this Derby will be used for fish stocking programs and
community service.
25. All boats must be cleaned of invasive species (plant and animal) prior to arrival.

Participants will be subject to inspection for invasive species by ODFW, or any other party designated by ODFW. Failure to comply will be subject to fines by

ODFW.
